Forsyth wowed by passionate Chinese golf fans

Alistair Forsyth has been bowled over by the Chinese enthusiasm for golf at the ongoing World Cup.

Forsyth is currently partnering Colin Montgomerie and representing Scotland at the tournament, attempting to defend his country's win last year.

He said that the atmosphere at the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen is like no other he has experienced, if at times a little frustrating.

Writing in the Daily Record newspaper, Forsyth explained: "There were moments when their enthusiasm was difficult to cope with. The crowds were huge and they really got into it. The problem was they didn't really know what to do or how to act.

"Photographers stood in the wrong place, people were moving as we went to take our shots and there always seemed to be a lot of things going on, all at the same time."

Scotland saw their hopes of taking home the trophy fade today (Friday, November 28th) after shooting a round of 73 in the foursomes to sit in 17th position on three-under par, 14 shots off the pace.
