Daniel Gaunt won the PartyPoker.com Players Championship at the East Sussex National at the weekend, coming through a nail-biting play-off to take the £10,000 jackpot.
The
John Letters Tour Professional rolled in the winning putt at the second hole of the sudden death contest, beating off the challenges of James Busby and Mark Laskey, who finished level with Gaunt on nine-under par.
After securing a win at the PGA EuroPro Tour event, Gaunt immediately turned his sights to earning his Challenge Tour card back and putting in a good performance at the European Tour qualification school.
The 29-year-old told the PGA EuroPro Tour's official website: "I missed out on the top five of the Order of Merit by a week so now I've got to enter the first stage of Q School for the European Tour, but I'm looking to the top five or even topping the money list for the end of the year."
He added: "My game couldnt be better at the moment so we'll see."
Melbourne-born Gaunt competed in this year's French Open at Le Golf National.
