Spain opened up a four stroke lead at the top of the leaderboard at the World Cup, with Pablo Larrazabal and Miguel Angel Jimenez enjoying a fantastic second day at the Mission Hills Golf Club in south China, going to 17-under par.
Tied for second place are day one leaders Germany and Australia, who lie on 13-under par after 36 holes.
Titleist's Larrazabal and Jimenez flew out of the traps, making five birdies and an eagle between them through the front nine in foursomes.
Jimenez said post-round: "We complemented [each other] very well today on the golf course. We didn't have any mistakes, except at hole number 15 where we made a bogey."
Meanwhile, Sweden moved to within five shots of the lead, but England's poor form continued, with Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher tied for 19th on one-under.
